  • My 'verse' has always been of the doggerel1 nature as is shown below in a free association verse I scribbled about my cat, but I enjoy scribbling nonsense as well as prose.

      Bubbles

the cat sat on the desk,
      surveying, supervising.
      she gazes at the floor,
      the monitor and keys.

      jealously she guards me
      not wanting me to work,
      pushing face into keyboard
      standing blocking screen.

      she vibrates with purrs,
      she nuzzles my keyboard.
she is the centre of my life
      proud to be in control.
